Nonscientific evidence of true aphrodisiac sex existed for thousands of years. Some of it is true, but most of it false and sometimes hazardous to the health of the male.

The word aphrodisiac has come to describe any potion, food, herb, scent or other substances, (few of them support true aphrodisiac sex), that arouse sexual desires.

Named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of sexual love and beauty, the list of sexual stimulants can have a range from the sophistication of Spanish Fly to the simplicity of green garden celery.

For thousands of years man has traversed the globe in search of the ultimate sexual stimulant to promote true aphrodisiac sex. What they have uncovered would amaze you, and simultaneously flabbergast you to learn that you were exposed to suppose aphrodisiacs all your life.

Aphrodisiac Knowledge

Non-empirical knowledge of true aphrodisiac sex existed for centuries. Every culture has its own little bag of aphrodisiac recipes, and geography is mostly responsible for what goes into that bag. What’s mystifying is when the recipes one culture doesn’t produce true aphrodisiac sex for another culture as well.

One basic reason for this is the rarity of the ingredients in the aphrodisiac recipes of one culture’s diet, may be available in abundance to another culture. Consequently, the ingredients generate stamina and vitality, plus sexual energy, for the culture to whom these special ingredients are not readily available, while providing only a placebo effect for the other.

Several items in your household are believed aphrodisiacs. You can find them in your spice cabinet, pantry, refrigerator, vegetable and flower gardens, and amongst your toiletries.

The plant hanging by the window, which emanates a musky scent that engulfs the room, may have aphrodisiac qualities. If you feel sexually stimulated after being in this room, then that scent is your aphrodisiac. But you will not make you experience true aphrodisiac sex.

Actually, a tremendous amount of knowledge exists about aphrodisiacs. But most of it lacks scientific evidence. In 1989 US Food and Drug Administration declared all aphrodisiacs as mythical, lacking scientific support. But later acknowledged Yohimbe, harvested from the bark of an African tree, as a hopeful male aphrodisiac.

Today, Yohimbe is the only herbal aphrodisiac approved by the FDA for the treatment of male impotence. Mainly because it has the potential to elicit true aphrodisiac sex.

Three Rules That Determine Aphrodisiacs

Rule of physiology states that if a substance produces an affect similar to the physical workout experienced during sex — increased heart rate, sweating — it qualifies as a sex aphrodisiac.

Rule of rarity applied especially of foods. Chocolate is now hardly considered an aphrodisiac food, because of its availability everywhere. But phenylethylamine (PEA) in chocolate relinquishes the hormone serotonin that is release during sexual intercourse.

Rule of similarity of shapes accentuates things resembling the shape of sexual organs as having sexual power. Rhinoceros horn, a male aphrodisiac, has the shape of a penis. Calcium and phosphorous, the main ingredients, will provide the physical stamina for those deficient in either substance.

Aphrodisiacs come in many forms and types that can range from natural to true…

Natural Aphrodisiacs

Natural aphrodisiacs are intrinsic, and occur naturally, in response to normal bodily functions. There is little you can do to avert them. Yet they don’t evoke true aphrodisiac sex…

Human Fantasy

The human brain produces the most powerful natural aphrodisiac there is… fantasy. The brain releases chemicals, electro-responses and glandular substances that act as internal sensual stimulants.

Human Hormones

Balanced hormones, especially in women, cause several stimuli to flow naturally from the brain to sex organs. Unnatural conditions, such as stress, illness, and aging, can impede the body’s natural ability to produce certain chemicals responsible for sexual desire.

Therefore, bringing hormones back to normal levels will eliminate unnatural conditions, restore hormonal imbalance, and the brain will again return to standard functionality, producing a powerful natural aphrodisiac.

Human Pheromones

Pheromones are the truest form of natural aphrodisiacs. The human pheromones — Androstenone, Androstenol, Androsterone — found in minute amounts in the perspiration of men and women, are natural aphrodisiacs that attract men to women and visa-versa.

There is scientific evidence that human pheromones can elicit strong sexual responses in both sexes. Unfortunately, antiperspirants and deodorants often destroy the pheromones in human perspiration.

Research conducted by the University of Chicago shows scientific proof that human pheromones do exist. And pheromones produced by one individual have a definite influence on the biological behavior of another.

Aphrodisiac Foods

Armed with the knowledge that some foods have been confirmed to kindle aphrodisiac sex, must have a tantalizing effect on the mind. The effect may be psychological, or a cerebral release that cause the stimulation of the genitalia, but still not enough upshot to cause true aphrodisiac sex.

Seafood Aphrodisiacs

Some people have the misconception that seafood induces true aphrodisiac sex. The goddess of love, Aphrodite, was believed to be born of the sea, so anything sea-food is considered an aphrodisiac food…

Oysters have a high reputation as an aphrodisiac food because they assume the shape of the female sexual organ, and also have a sensuous texture accredited with sexual stimulation and desire.

Caviar’s rarity and shape give these sumptuous eggs a sensuous demeanor, coveted by many for its sexual stimulating trigger.

Plant Aphrodisiacs

These include fruit and vegetables, grain, nuts and spices. Some are favored because of their erotic shapes, others for their vitamins content and aroma that stimulate sexual desire…

Asparagus, known for its erotic shape contains large amount of vitamin A and C. For diets deficient in these vitamins, this aphrodisiac food provides a powerful sexual stimulant.

Celery is well known for treating many ailments including hypertension. This vegetable is also recognize by some cultures as a source for true aphrodisiac sex. The seeds are especially potent and are used to flavor breads and salads.

Pine nuts are well known for its zinc, which produces testosterone, the sex hormone that increases sex drives. The ancient Romans believed pine nuts to be a potent aphrodisiac food.

Fruit Aphrodisiacs

Bananas… are one of the most popular aphrodisiac fruits. The phallic shape and creamy inside, rich in potassium and vitamin B, produces the male sex hormone.

Avocado… the tree was named by the Aztecs “ahuacuatl“, which translates “testicle tree“. The arrangement of the fruits hanging in pairs resemble the male testicles.

Figs… a symbol of fertility by the ancient Greeks are also considered sacred. The erotic fleshy shape provides a powerful sexual stimulant.

The way food looks and feels, tastes and smells can deem it erotic. But if these sensations help to produce sexual stimulation, they may be dubbed aphrodisiac foods.

Drug Aphrodisiacs

Many people actually believe that drugs and alcohol generate true aphrodisiac sex. But the fact is, too much alcohol can cause the opposite effect to occur.

What you feel after drinking alcohol, according to the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, is not the work of any aphrodisiac, but rather the lowering of inhibition brought about by the drug. Actually, heavy drug users eventually lose all sex drives, becoming impotent, due to hormonal changes.

True Aphrodisiacs

An author who wrote extensively about male aphrodisiacs, believes that any substance which stimulates libido (sexual stimulation & desire), and boosts erection, can be called a true aphrodisiac.

There is a lot talk about true aphrodisiacs. But to experience their real effect is as rare as sighting a Martian. Scientific community on Martians declared them dangerous extraterrestrials. Likewise, the scientific community on aphrodisiacs confirmed the dangers of true aphrodisiacs.

First and foremost, is the male hormone testosterone. Doctors, while treating women for hormone imbalance with testosterone, noticed increased libido. But the degree of enhancement was too small to ignore the dangerous side effects.

Next there is Yohimbe… the only substance proven to increase libido, and simultaneously boosts erection. Therefore, Yohimbe has met the criteria of a true aphrodisiac, and will always evoke true aphrodisiac sex.

Yohimbe is also the only known substance to do so, without dangerous side effects. It has also been approval by FDA as the only safe substance capable of producing true aphrodisiac sex.

Yohimbe, the bark of the African tree, is available in powder or capsules at your health food store. Yohimbine, the extract, is only available by prescription. Yohimbe is a male aphrodisiac.

It is written that Ginseng, Muira Puama, and Avena Seltiva may all produce intense sexual stimulation, but not with the magnitude and power like Yohimbe.

One can conclude that a true aphrodisiac is nothing but a turn-on, a sexual trigger, or not even smack. But nobody can begin to comprehend true aphrodisiac sex without the Yohimbine experience.

Consult with your physician, if you are taking heart or hypertension medications, before taking Yohimbe.

Calorie restriction without malnutrition is a bold dietary concept in human longevity. The theory, originated from aging research studies, exploits undernutrition for the purpose of preserving the physical processes in a more youthful state.

Calorie restriction is all about making important nutritional choices. Low-calorie, high-nutritional foods are selected over foods high in carbohydrates and sugars. The average number of calories consumed daily by a typical adult is around 2000-3000. While a restricted dieter is limited to between 1200-2000.

There are tremendous benefits attained for preserving the physical structure and functionality of the human body. Think of all the things you’ll still be able to do, mentally, physically and sexually, because you conquered aging.

The concept of calorie restriction to enhance health and extend life is not so new. Calorie restriction first came to light in the early twentieth century, but it was not until 1930 when researchers discovered calorie restricted animals lived much longer than those allowed to feed freely.

Calorie restriction will certainly postpone the inevitable: heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, immune dysfunction, and cancer.

By restricting calories, the body has less stuff to process, and processing produces waste, sometimes toxic, which damage cells.

Other studies have shown that calorie restriction without malnutrition could produce the same longevity effects in adult animals, as it would in young animals. Furthermore, the longer the period spent on caloric restriction diets, the greater the span of life.

From what researchers know, from the way calorie restriction work in laboratory animals, they are convinced that it will produce the same effects in humans.

Calorie Restriction Prevents Diseases

A drastic reduction in calorie intake can reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease. People who practice a calorie restriction lifestyle, have more normal test results than those who don’t. Laboratory rats on calorie restricted diets showed reduced levels of atherosclerosis.

Calorie restricted diets seem to reduce oxidation damage to the immune system, and provide resistance against infectious diseases. Thus, preventing strokes and heart diseases, caused by hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and of course, aging.

Calorie Restriction Reduces Oxidation

Cells need oxygen to survive. But in the processing of oxygen, toxic waste (free radicals) is produced. Free radicals cause damage to mitochondria, DNA, and protein within the cells.

Studies of adult muscle tissue show tremendous deterioration due to free radical oxidative damage, generally associated with aging.

Calorie Restriction Improves Metabolism

Without CR, new nutrients are constantly being created, while older nutrients are not expended quickly enough. This creates a build-up of unused nutrients, which clogs the system, and starves vital organs that depend on the supply of nutrients for their survival. Hence the organs malfunction causing the body to age.

Normally, newly formed nutrients replace older ones continuously, to maintain a healthy demand and supply process. With CR, fewer nutrients are formed, allowing the dispensation of older ones, and averting clogs in the system.

Calorie Restriction Preserves Brain Function

Research shows severe calorie restriction without malnutrition stops changes in the brain cause by aging. What it did not show was, that calorie restriction improves cognitive abilities cause by aging. Other studies show calorie restriction produces certain substances in the brain that increases growth and survival of brain cells.

There is sufficient evidence available to prove calorie restriction helps animals live longer, and protected them from the effects of aging. But scientists still don’t understand why. Obviously more research is required, but the prospect looks brighter.

Calorie Restriction Mimetics

Although the future outcome of calorie restriction without malnutrition looks promising, few folks are willing to undergo the rigorous regimentation of starving themselves in exchange for a few years longer life. So scientists are determined to ease the pain that could accompany calorie restriction.

After 70 years of research, they now know exactly how calorie restriction works. Hence, they believe they can mimic the effects, using a more pleasant approach, to obtain a similar outcome.

Calorie restriction mimetics are drugs or composites that mimic the outcome of calorie restriction. The concept, if it works, holds the answer to longevity, and the end to major chronic diseases. Researchers are now working tirelessly to produce a pill that will do the same job as calorie restriction.

What Future Holds for Calorie Restriction,

Calorie restriction research shows tremendous promise. But it’s not a way of life for everyone. Human life extension studies are, to a great extent, inconclusive. Positive results form short-term studies in humans show significant health and longevity potential. However, there is no definitive data to write a prescription. So consult your physician before trying calorie restriction.

The idea of cutting calories to boost oxygen consumption, is in direct conflict with the concept that eating less can add on a few years to your live. However, researchers discovered that calorie restriction lowers metabolism, reduces oxidation damage to cells, preserves brain functions, prevents diseases, and decreases insulin levels, the principal components of aging.

Calorie restriction without malnutrition, as seen in laboratory testing, is the most consistent way to increase lifespan. In a study that compared people who practice calorie restriction as a lifestyle, with those who consumed a normal diet, the calorie-restricted group had a dramatic reduction in risk of heart disease and and diabetes.

In another study, mice that were fed 30 to 40 percent fewer calories, produced more nitric oxide than those that were fed unrestricted diets. Since low levels of nitric oxide is a key factor in erectile function, calorie restriction may be essential for improving male sexual health.

What causes a curved penis is pretty much speculation. For reasons that are not clear, a thick scar develops in the penis, which prevents blood flow into the spaces (small openings within the smooth muscle) in that area of the penis. With no blood flowing into the spaces, the organ cannot expand. Thus causing the penis to curve or bend toward the scar.

Three of every hundred men suffer from peyronie’s disease, and experience penile pain during normal sexual intercourse, or when the curved penis becomes erect. One percent of all men with peyronie’s disease develop scars across the palms of their hands… a condition known as Dupuytren’s contracture. There are also men with scars on the hands who don’t have peyronie’s disease.

Causes of Curved Penis

Injury to the organ is primarily the cause of a curved penis. Rough sex can easily tear the penile tissue resulting in scaring. Sexual positions that hurt the penis can result in a curve. Masturbation can cause injury to the penis as well, which may curve the penis. Right handed masturbation causes the penis to curve left, while a left-hander has a curve to the right.

Trauma may satisfy the argument as to what cause peyronie’s disease. What it doesn’t explain is the reason why some peyronie’s disease slowly develop over time, with no known cause. There is a congenital form of peyronie’s disease with no known cause. The scar tissue develops about mid-penis, top or bottom of the shaft, so the penis angles either up or down. This type of peyronie’s disease leads to shortening of the penis.

The penis contains two spongy u-shape chambers (corpus cavernosa), on either side of the organ, which consist of blood vessels that become engorged with blood when aroused causing an erection. If one chamber is scared because of an injury, blood is unable to flow through the scared tissue to perfect an erection, so the penis bends toward the scar. There is usually no long-term effect if the injury heals properly.

Treatments for Curved Penis

Cortisone-type injections into the scar or plaque to reduce the angle has produced little or no effect. Some urologists believe super doses of vitamin E can reduce penile angulation, but real results are still pending. Surgery seems to be a better fix for the curved penis. After the scar is removed, a graft of tissue from somewhere on the body is used to repair the affected area.

The famous Nesbit procedure has been proven successful for many peyronies sufferers who elected to have surgery. 50-60 percent were able to have normal sexual intercourse again. Surgery should only be a last resort. Other treatments for peyronie’s should be considered before undertaking this big step.

Normally, peyronie’s disease requires no treatment. The scar disappears all by itself within five years. Only when painful erections prevent one from having intercourse should treatment be sought. Most treatments fail to straighten the curved penis, so waiting it out may be your best bet.

Choosing a healthy diet plan may require the services of a certified nutritionist, with medical input by your physician. This could entail two trips to the doctor’s office, and a number of sit-downs with the nutritionist, before you even get started.

This is the preferred way to start a healthy diet plan, especially if you are under a doctor’s care for diabetes, hypertension, or heart disease. Planning is essential to establish the don’ts, and to determine the extent of the do’s. You don’t want to regret not taking these initial steps later on.

After you get rolling with your diet plan, there would still be a need for occasional consultations with both professionals, to monitor your progress. They may make adjustment to your diet plan as you proceed toward your goal.

No healthy diet plan is complete without regular exercise. A personal trainer would be ideal, if you can afford one. But most people would rather become a member of a health spa or exercise gym, where personal trainer services are included in the membership fees. The services may not be too personal, but will suffice.

The nutritionist, doctor, and trainer could become a costly venture. In fact, it could cost you two arms and a leg to actually start a healthy diet plan. But thank heavens there is a way to keep your arms and leg, and pay almost nothing to achieve the same benefits.

Dietary Guidelines

The US Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services announced the release of the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The Dietary Guidelines is published jointly every 5 years by the Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The Guidelines provide advice for all Americans two years and older about how to make healthy dietary choices. They are designed to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, overweight and obesity through improved nutrition and physical exercise.

The 7th edition of Dietary Guidelines for Americans places stronger emphasis on reducing calorie consumption and increasing physical activity and/or exercise, because more than one-third of children and more than two-thirds of adults in the United States are overweight or obese. This edition, like previous ones, also serves as the basis for Federal food and nutrition education programs.

Structure of Food Guides

Most countries have developed some sort of food nutrition guide, for its people, establishing a healthy diet and nutrition plan to keep the nation healthy. The guide usually consists of four to six food groups, detailing the daily serving servings for each group, and other recommendations for healthy eating.

Some food nutrition guides take the shape of a dish, a platter, or a pyramid, and are referred to as such. The USDA food nutrition guide takes the shape of a pyramid, and is called MyPyramid.

STEPS FOR A HEALTHIER YOU

MyPyramid illustrates color triangles for each food category. Foods from the largest triangles should be eaten most often, while those from the smallest triangle eaten in small amounts.

MyPyramid Plan gives recommendations for healthy eating, by helping you choose from a assortment of foods, recommending the servings size and the number servings per day.

MyPyramid Basic Messages gives you important tips and recommendations for healthy eating, and daily exercise.

Inside MyPyramid provides detail recommendations for healthy eating, to help improve your diet plan, including data about each food group, number of calories, and physical workout.

MyPyramid Tracker offers an activity chart for entering all the foods eaten each day, and all daily physical activities performed.

This allows you to adopt good recommendations for healthy eating, and monitor your progress.

The Healthy Diet Program

MyPyramid Plan is equipped with a tool that creates a unique diet program for the individual diet planner. It utilizes age, sex, weight, height, and the level of your physical daily activity to calculate your daily recommendations. It provides the amount of each food group to include in your daily intake, and the number of calories for your diet plan.

A special worksheet is provided for documentation of your daily food intake and physical activity. Very little typing is required. You make selections from pop up menus about your daily activities. Upon request, your daily activities are compared against dietary guidelines, and some recommendations are made to improve your diet plan. The worksheet is printable. Use it as a reference guide, to construct a healthy diet plan.

MyPyramids Plan also features MyPyramid Tracker, an on line dietary and physical assessment tool that provides information on the quality of the diet and physical activity. At the click of a button, you are told whether you are eating adequately form all food groups. It also provides information about the food groups, which enables you to make better choices to design a healthy diet plan.

As you can see, MyPyramid Plan provides the services of a nutritionist, to help you create a healthy diet plan, that doesn’t cost your arms and leg. But for those people who suffer certain diseases, physical activities are not recommended before a consultation with your physician.

To get started click on over to MyPyramid Plan, fill in the information, follow the instructions, and you will create a customized healthy diet plan to fit your individual needs.

So many times you would leave the urologist’s office, after having the results of a PSA test explained, filled with much uncertainty as to whether the indicators could be incorrect. Knowing that PSA screening is not a precise diagnostic instrument for determining cancer of the prostate, can lead to anxiety and depression. But those days are almost over. New research study found PSA screening is more reliable in men taking the PSA level reduction drug dutasteride.

Dutasteride is a dual 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor, approved by the FDA for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), better known as enlarged prostate.

A hormone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), causes the prostate to slowly grow over time. Dutasteride slows down the production of DHT over time, leading to shrinkage of the enlarged prostate, and reducing the symptoms of BPH.

Dutasteride reduces the risk of prostate cancers by keeping the turmors small enough to avoid detection by a biopsy. Thus, men taking Dutasteride who still show a subsequent rise in PSA levels should be associated with having aggressive high-grade cancer.

This new study reveals how Dutasteride enhances the ability of rising PSA levels to detect high-grade cancers that require early diagnosis and treatment, while decreasing the detection of tumors that are harmless. However, it doesn’t mean men should take dutasteride to better PSA scores.

The good news you just received about the result of a second prostate biopsy test could be misleading. Pathologists estimates show 20 percent of all prostate biopsies are false negative… meaning they can miss cancer.

A negative biopsy doesn’t mean you don’t have cancer. Your chances of having cancer increases, if your biopsy only included samples from part of your prostate. In fact the cancer could be quite extensive. The greater the number of samples biopsied, the better your chances of being misdiagnosed.

Perhaps there was no need to do the test at that time. Because, according to Dr. James A. Eastham at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Center, no one should be referred for a biopsy based on one single PSA test that is slightly elevated. Did you have a second prostate-specific antigen (PSA) before the second prostate biopsy was performed?

You should be here at this threshold because your second prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and digital rectal exam (DRE) continued to be abnormal. Experts recommend repeating the test 4 to 6 weeks before doing second biopsy. False positives are common, because cancer is not the only cause for increased PSA levels. A recent episode with constipation, inflammation, or recent ejaculation can raise your PSA score. But fluctuations should never be taken lightly.

Researchers at Oregon Health & Science University Cancer Institute and Portland Veterans Medical Center have discovered a way to identify which men need second prostate biopsy, even though they were given a clean bill of health after the first biopsy. The single most definite indicator given for a repeat biopsy was a high PSA, Gleason score 7 or higher, adjusted for prostate size.

Prostate cancer is the second most deadliest cancer in men. An estimated 300,000 are diagnosed annually, and 30,000 men will die of the disease, according to the American Cancer Society. You could be one of them.

By Lorraine Bevere

A green and lush oasis in the middle of a scorching dessert. A
cool breeze on a hot summer night. A bright light in the end of
a cold and dark tunnel. Green tea and cholesterol.

For the millions and millions of people suffering from high
cholesterol green tea may be that light. You can browse and
search the Internet for topics on green tea and cholesterol and
would come up with hundred of hits.

Cholesterol, triglycerides, the protein apoB in LDLs, are words
dreaded by humans of the modern age. This new century is
expected to become the century of medical miracles, the green
tea, lowly as it may sound looks very promising as several
researches have shown. This could be the decade of green tea
and cholesterol.

More good news is it’s not just green tea and cholesterol; it’s
also green tea and cancer. Several studies have shown that the
antioxidants are present in green tea. The Journal of the
National Cancer Institute published the results of an
epidemiological study indicating that drinking green tea
reduced the risk of esophageal cancer in Chinese men and women
by nearly sixty percent. Another research done by the
University of Purdue researchers recently concluded that a
compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells. In
another study by the University of Kansas determined that EGCG
may explain why the rate of heart disease among Japanese men is
quite low, even though approximately seventy-five percent are
smokers.

And more good news! It’s not just green tea and cholesterol;
it’s also green tea and high blood pressure. Habitually
drinking 5 to 10 cups a day of green tea lowers high blood
pressure.

For more that 4,000 years the Chinese have known about the
medicinal benefits of green tea since using it to treat
everything from headaches to depression. So it’s not just green
tea and cholesterol; it’s also green tea and depression!

Drinking green also is reported to be helpful with rheumatoid
arthritis, Cardiovascular disease, infection, and impaired
immune function.

Green tea is rich in catechin polyphenols, especially
epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG is a good anti-cancer
element. Polyphenol limits the negative effects of smoking and
a fatty diet.

There’s more! It’s not just green tea and cholesterol; it’s
also green tea and weight loss. The American Journal of
Clinical Nutrition published a report that found out that men
who were given a combination of caffeine and green tea extract
burned more calories than those given only caffeine.

How about green tea and tooth decay anyone? Its bacteria-
destroying abilities kill the bacteria that cause dental decay.
So it’s not just green tea and cholesterol, it’s also green tea
and bacteria.

Why is it that it’s green tea and cholesterol not oolong tea or
black tea? As we all know there are 3 types of tea, green,
oolong and black. All of these come from the leaves of the
Camellia sinensis plant. But why green? Green tea leaves are
steamed, which prevents the EGCG compound from being oxidized
while black and oolong tea leaves are made from dried or
fermented leaves, which causes loss of EGCG.

We should have learned speaking mandarin or fukien a long time
ago and got to know green tea and cholesterol lowering the
Chinese way.

There is more to green tea and cholesterol, search the web and
get to know more of the heath benefits you may get from green
tea. Does anyone know how to say green tea in Chinese?

Lorraine Bevere is well known for documenting the amazing qualities of green tea. Discover other tea “secrets” at her site http://www.fogtea.com

The cardiovascular cure is revolutionary amino acid that caught the attention of the medical community, and has been the focal point of numerous research studies. Arginine may well be the maintenance engineer of the cardiovascular system. This amino acid keeps the arteries clean by eradicating obstacles that may hinder adequate blood flow.

Arginine converts to Nitric Oxide during arginine metabolism in endothelial cells, and contributes to normal blood flow. Endothelium consists of flat cells that lined the body and lymphatic vessels, the heart, and various other body cavities. Normal blood flow is the heart of the cardiovascular cure.

Four grams of arginine daily is a rather inexpensive way to refurbish the endothelium. Arginine increases dilation of blood vessels, reduces that sticky substance that adheres to blood platelets, making them stick to the vessel walls causing blockage, and improves erectile dysfunction.

Arginine reduces the plaque that forms along the walls of vessels in patients with high cholesterol levels and artherosclerosis.
In laboratory testing, arginine has shown to be much more than a cardiovascular cure. Arginine has proven to…

     Reduce high blood pressure.

Stimulate release of human growth hormone.

	   Improve pituitary functions.

	   Decrease bad cholesterol

	   Improve memory.

	   Improve peripheral vascular disease.

	   Increase relaxation of smooth muscles.

The cardiovascular cure is safe and easily available at your health food store. But be sure to tell your health care provider that you’re taking arginine.

“The Cardiovascular Cure,” by John Cooke, Ph.D
“This book provides a lucid written description of EDRF and endothelial dysfunction. Treatment with exercise, a diet rich in arginine, vitamins, and anti-oxidants, is important to the many patients prone to develop heart attacks or stroke.”

The study included sexually active men with ED, who also suffered BPH and lower urinary tract symptoms, such as intermittency, urgency, incomplete emptying, weak urinary stream, urinary frequency, straining and nocturia.

The result of the study showed significant improvements from baseline with once-daily tadalafil in all stratifications. Hereby suggesting that once-daily tadalafil may be effective in treating a diversified group of men suffering from BPH and other lower urinary tract symptoms.

Long term study shows Dutasteride reduced the risk of prostate cancer detected via prostate biopsy by 23% over a period of four years. The study group included men between the age of 50 to 75 who had increased cancer risk, with prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels between 2.5 and 10 ng/ml.

Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase enzyme inhibitor that inhibits both type 1 and type 2 isoenzymes. These enzymes convert testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the prostate gland. High levels of dihydrotestosterone accumulates and cause hyperplasia. Dutasteride capsules have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate gland.

BPH is benign enlargement of the prostate gland in men over forty, which may not present any problems until over sixty. BPH causes urinary track symptoms such as frequent urination, leaking, and urinary urgency. Dutasteride trials show significant improvement of urinary track symptoms.
